Missing In Action

It has been a long time since I have been able to blog but I have "written" so many blogs in my head already. So many things have happened. I have not heard back from the producers at Martha Stewart but we shall see. God is faithful. I have been hard at work trying to make my Etsy business sucessful (http://www.eastendhomearts.etsy.com/). My sales have risen with the onset of cooler weather. Praise God! I am now up to 12 sales. I have also been working on patterns for sale as well. I will hopefully be able to blog on a more regular basis now. I have also switched my full time job from a office setting to now I am a physical therapist in a school setting. I am so excited. I hope all is well with my readers and hope to hear from you all soon. Don't hesitate to post. Please check out my other new blog at knitterswithamission.blogspot.com . It is a great place to check out charity projects for crafters alike.

Maidstone Arms Inn- East Hampton

What a week !!!! My husband and I have been recovering from a busy time in our life. He just finished a semester in school and I am finishing a year of having three jobs as well as starting my passion East End Home Arts and the edible division East End Edibles. I was destressing on thursday (my birthday) when ....my husband came home and told me to pack my bags. When I asked him where we were going he said he didnt want to tell me . Then I packed and we headed off to one of my favorite local restaurants O Sole Mio in Stony Brook. I had my favorite dish cavatelli with pink cream sauce, asparagas, spinach and mushrooms.... yummy. We headed home to grab some stuff we forgot and headed out east.... to EAST HAMPTON :-) We checked into the gorgeous Maidstone Arms Inn. What a fabulous surprise. We headed to town and went to Starbucks to chill out and enjoy some soy chai tea lattes no foam no water of course ! Then we headed back to the hotel to relax in our room and enjoy destressing. What a great night sleep we had! The next day we slept in (YES !!!!!) and got ready to head out to Montauk to continue destressing ! My next post will be a review of Purl by the Sea... a local yarn shop in Montauk.

Martha Stewart

Hi All.....
So I have decided to start a blog. I am an avid crafter and foodie. Last Thursday 4/24/08 my friends Sara, Suzanne and Laurel went to see the Martha Stewart Show. It was bring your child to workday so the show was focused on kids. We had a great time. The warm up artist Joey Cola (don't know if i spelled that right... sorry joey) was amazing! really energetic. He made me want to use the energy i have to be a warm up artist as well. It was really cool to see her set. It looks a lot like the one on TV (of course ...lol) The coolest part is that at the end of the show after the taping. Joey asked the audience if anyone else had a question for her and i raised my hand and he asked me what it was. I told him of my new entrepreneurship on etsy (http://www.eastendhomearts.etsy.com/) and that I wanted to ask her if she had any tips for me. And I got to ask her a question.... so exciting. She asked me what I did and I said knitting and crocheting. She also stated that she has had a lot of etsyians on the show lately and that if she liked my work that she would have me on the show! She asked me if I had anything ..all I had is a coffee cup cozy to use with my Starbucks that morning. So she told me to talk to her producers after and I did. So I emailed her and I will see what happens !!!!! I'm excited. I love to craft and she is the best at what she does. Next blog.....review of Becco (Lidia Bastianich's restaurant in the theater district)

Introduction

Hi All!
I have officially become a blogger. I am an avid crafter and foodie with a passion to share this passion with everyone I meet. I have recently started my own etsy site a little over a month ago. (www.eastendhomearts.etsy.com) I am a member of ruebee. I am currently a physical therapist but wish to make East End Home Arts my main job as God allows. I have been visiting many local yarn stores in many areas and that will be the subject of my blogs early on. I am also a pattern designer and am currently working on various patterns for my etsy account. Well enjoy.
